Intuition is the highest spiritual gift. Through your intuition you know immediately and without doubt something what is true about another person, being or situation. Our intuition is connected to the Creator, to the truth that is in God.

Each of us has an intuition for what is true or what is untrue. When you hear something that is true you are just absolutely sure that it is true. You don't know why you know this, you cannot rationalize it. You should also not do that. Reason and feelings or emotions are lower faculties of your being than intuition is.

Intuitive knowing does not come from thinking logically and it surely is not the same as just feeling something. Some people want to understand everything rationally. When you are like that, you will block your intuition. Other people are fond of what they feel. But feelings and emotions lack the reliability that intuition has. Feelings can come from your body, or they come from a love relation that you have with someone, or from your own past experiences and memories. Your intuition rises above the normal abilities of the mind like thinking, feeling, planning.

Your intuition is connected to your heart of love. Your heart of love is the deepest aspect of your being and you should make effort to connect it to the Source. You may call that source God, or the Creator, or give another name to it. The name doesn't matter, as long as you know that in your deepest being you are connected to the Source of Love. When you are well connected to the Source of Love, your original intuition will begin to work well and will guide you securely through your life.

Bring yourself in an original state of mind through prayer or meditation centered on the highest. Then focus on something outside of you. This may be the sun, a star, a plant, an animal, a person, a book. Pray and meditate until you intuitively get to know something about the object of your intuition. When you find out something in this process, you will be absolutely certain that what you found is true. Write down what you found and return to this central and secure truth whenever you get confused about the object of your prayer or meditation.

Take your time for this whole process. To come to one clear truth through your intuition may sometimes take hours, in other occasions it may well take days. Highly appreciate whatever you found out through intuition. We don't have another way of knowing what is true.
