Chinese-style reforms — The contents are revolutionary. It seems that, at long last, North Korea has decided to begin Chinese-style reforms. Marshal Kim Jong-un is obviously inclined to do what his late father, Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, was too afraid to, that is, to attempt to transform his country into a developmental dictatorship, largely similar to present-day Vietnam or China.

Computer hackers in North Korea are being carefully selected to work in the secretive ‘Bureau 121’, a cyber warfare cell, a defector has revealed. The team of about 1,800 staff are dedicated to using their hacking skills to spy and steal data from the country’s perceived ‘enemies’. There about 9,495,000 active, reserve, and paramilitary personnel in the Korean People’s Army (KPA), which makes up nearly 40% of the population, but the North Korean’s focus on cyber warfare is a fairly recent development.

Her husband, Jang Song Thaek, was executed in December, shocking many observers around the world.

Pyongyang in panic as UN votes to refer Kim Jong-un to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity

Source [4]

A prominent defector has told The Sunday Times that high-ranking Korean officials are “in a panic” over the vote on a draft resolution, fearing that if their leader is labelled a criminal then they, too, will be suspects. The vote follows a UN report, published earlier this year, accusing the Pyongyang regime of systematic torture, killing and starvation. It named Kim, along with senior officials, as a potential defendant. So if the North Korean people learn he is being labelled as a criminal it will be a shock to the whole of North Korean society. His followers will fear that they could be criminal suspects as well.

In isolated nations such as North Korea and and in other communist states such as China, everything is controlled by the government. Moreover, in North Korea the media is broadcast, printed and distributed under the strict surveillance and censorship of the government. Therefore, in North Korea, the only information you’re allowed to access is what has been pre-approved by the government.

Who do North Koreans think started the Korean War? - January 12, 2014

Read this NK News article.

As you know, at that time, Korea had just been liberated from the colonization of Japan and people were about to enjoy their precious freedom to prosper on their own land without any outside influence. For them, the mere possibility of another invasion was enough to ignite the fighting spirit to repel the enemy and protect their homeland. It was understood that once they thought there was an enemy invading, they would want to fight. A war was a reckless challenge for Kim Il Sung, who did not stand any chance of winning unless he fooled all the people in North Korea that they really had to fight. The truth that it was actually North Korea who started the war had to be locked in darkness forever. I believe that even when the war broke out, only few people in North Korea except Kim Il Sung knew about who really started the war.
