There is a particular nature of energy that is important to be aware of whenever we make use of energy in practices with the body. I call it the 'connective nature of energy.'

Imagine how the sun shines on trees and plants and how the energy of the sun, through the process of photosynthesis, is captured in the cells of the plant. When we have a piece of wood, in it is the energy of the sun. When we burn this piece of wood, the energy of the sun comes out again.

Likewise, when we walk in the sun, our body captures the heat of the sun and other forms of energy that the sun gives. Our body stores this energy, lives on it. Continually we live in the energy of the sun. Without it, there would be no life on earth as temperatures would drop to a level on which no life is possible.

Although there is a lapse of time between the moment that the energy generated by the sun reaches the earth, the energy itself is the same.

This teaches us something about the nature of all forms of energy.

Originating creation energy that comes from God has a source, but it is also present in the entire cosmos. The energy in the source and the energy in the created being or thing is the same, and there also always remains a connection through this energy.

It is the same for love. When you love a person, that love originates in you and reaches the other person. The energy of love is simultaneously in you and in the person you love. Love is what connects you with other people.
