The Antediluvian (before the flood) Patriarchs are central figures of the 10 generations from Adam to Noah. These men are the first descendants of Adam and sometimes known as the Generations of Adam. Their lives reflect the growing influence of evil among humans after the Fall of Adam. We know little about most of the Antediluvian Patriarchs, in some cases little more than their names are mentioned in the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Hebrew scripture. What little detail there is is usually found in Apocrophal texts. Consequently piecing their stories together takes a lot of study, reflection and prayer. The articles in this section aim to present as much detail as is reliable along with the results of my research. Because of the dearth of information, modern study guides pass over these figures quickly. I feel that is a mistake. These are the earliest forebearers of humanity consequently everyone alive today is affected and in many ways formed spiritually by the events of the fall and the aftermath.

The Antediluvian Patriarchs are promient figures in Hebrew scripture and their histories found their way into many of today's world's cultures and religions although most prominetly in the scriptures of the Abrahamic faiths Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

While most of these figures are lost to ancient history, two are actually well known. Noah, the tenth generation from Adam and to a lesser degree Enoch the pseudopigraphal author of the Books of Enoch.
