Most religions have their holy places. Some religions also revere sacred trees. In its quest to convert 'pagans' Christendom has literally rooted out many sacred oaks that were centers of religious worship for European tribes.
Although such sacred oaks were sometimes connected to questionable deities, there are elements in sacred trees and places that deserve attention and deeper understanding.
This topic can be treated on many levels. One is the use of trees as places of offering. Another one is that many trees are claimed to stand on meaningful energy lines on the Earth. There is also a directly spiritual aspect to holy grounds and sacred trees.
For the spiritual world, these can become places where a certain sanctity is kept. It makes it easier for spirits to come to the people who made these grounds. Whether these spirits are more heavenly ones or sometimes also invading spirits depends much on the conditions made on such sites.
When the right conditions have been made for Holy Trees and - Grounds, they can also be connected spiritually. A kind of grid is formed that can encompass the entire world. Spirits can travel over the lines of that grid. Imagine such a grid to be a sort of network of spiritual roads or even highways.
When you know of Holy Grounds or Holy Trees and you are sure that the spiritual foundation of it is good, it can help very much to pray there often. We can receive inspirations there that we otherwise could not get.
Religions sometimes consecrate trees for special purposes. Special spiritual blessings can be gained by visiting such trees with the right devotion. In the spiritual world, angels can have received the task to attend such a tree and its visitors.
