Nice article! Erosion control must be very important for this type of cultivation. In Europe i've seen many terraces, probably centuries old and much work to create them in hillsides. The composition of the soil is also interesting, due to wind and water erosion the finer particles are assembled down slopes and give very fertile soil.

One comment about the empty lines between two sections. Sometimes you have one open line, sometimes two. Standard is one open line. It looks a bit sloppy when these spaces are irregular throughout the page. --JE 22:38, 10 February 2012 (PST)
